Matric doesn't come with an instruction manual for what happens next, and most of the pressure around that decision comes from feeling like you need to have it all figured out at once. You don't. This page brings together every article we've written to help you work through it, one question at a time.

You'll find honest breakdowns on how to actually choose what to study, which careers are genuinely in demand in South Africa right now, how to avoid the mistakes that leave students stuck in the wrong course, and more. Each article is written for where you actually are right now: overwhelmed, unsure, and tired of vague advice that doesn't tell you anything useful.

New articles get added to this page as we publish them, so it's worth coming back to as your own thinking develops. There's no required order, start with whichever question feels most urgent to you today.

If you haven't already, our free aptitude and personality tests are a genuinely useful starting point. Knowing your own strengths and interests first makes almost every decision covered in these articles easier to work through.
